Okra - The Little Veggie That Could

April 28th, 2008 by shellylisee

By Sherri L Dodd Origin: Okra originated in Ethoipia in 12th century B.C. Travelers introduced it to the middle east and eventually it entered into the southern area of North America through the slave trade. Types: There are three main Okra pods to choose from: Annie Oakley (a compact plant with extra tender pods), Dwarf Green Long Pods (longer, ribbed pods) and the Clemson Spineless. Benefits: Not much of a popular choice, Okra may be one of the misunderstood vegetable. It contains a powerful pack of valuable nutrients, of which almost half is soluble fiber, contained in its gums and pectins. Along with lowering serum cholesterol, soluble fiber is yet another component of helping to reduce the risk of heart disease. Okra also contains insoluble fiber which helps keep your intestinal tract healthy and strong, subsequently, decreasing the risk of colorectal cancer. Okra is also a well known producer of glutathione, a protein molecule made up of three amino acids. Researchers at Emory University found that of the 1800 people in their study, those with the highest intake of glutathione were 50% less likely to develop oral and throat cancers than those with lower levels of the amino acid. And, for good measure the little spiny pod also boasts nearly 10% of the RDA of vitamin B6 and folic acid, 22% Vitamin C, 11% magnesium and combined fiber equals about 8%, if you consume atleast a half of a cup serving. Blurb: A favored southern dish, okra is best known for its addition to gumbo or fried with a corn meal coating. It is also used in cooking for its thickening ability as well as its rich flavor. Look for okra in the duration of mid-spring through October; and, when choosing your pods, look for vibrance in color and avoid any length over four inches long as well as those that are limp and blemished. Children in Weddings

April 26th, 2008 by shellylisee

By Vivian Gilbert Zabel A curly-haired little princess in a filly dress brings ooos and ahhhs from the rows of friends and family members as she trips down the aisle before the bride. The ring-bearer solemnly marching beside her causes the same reaction. The youngsters leave everyone in awe, sometimes taking attention away from the couple marrying especially if one or both start crying, throwing a temper tantrum, or becoming bored during the ceremony. However, with some pre-planning, children can become a positive and delightful part of a wedding. First of all, a child needs to understand what will happen during the ceremony. I remember the first time my daughter did the flower girl job. The rehearsal consisted of the wedding party standing at the front of the sanctuary while the minister explained what each person would do in what order. The only problem was a four-year-old didnt understand. She didnt know that when she went down the aisle that the people she expected to see would be standing with their backs to her: she couldnt see her daddy or the aunt she was to stand beside. She turned and ran to me crying. I held her and pointed out where the expected people stood. Then I showed her the bride waiting to come behind her. She finished her trip down the aisle throwing rose petals and sniffling. A wedding rehearsal should allow any children to practice their duties several times. They should know where to go during the ceremony, too, if they should get bored or tired. An adult, that the child knows, should sit close enough to the front that the child can go to her or him if needed. Before the wedding ceremony itself, any children should have a rest time, if not a nap. Then before guests start arriving, someone should walk the children through their paces: allow flower girls and ring bearers walk down the aisle and stand or sit where they are supposed to after reaching the front or doing their duty. Refreshing their memories will help them do a better, calmer job. At the reception, having a room with an attendant (an adult or a responsible teen) for young children makes both the adults and the children enjoy the celebration more. Children could take part until they start showing signs of boredom or irritability, then the attendant could take them where they can play or rest. Older or more mature youngsters wouldnt have a problem staying at the reception. Children can add to a wedding if planning and care has been taken, or a wedding can become a frightening experience. Diet Factors To Be Wary Of When Trying To Lose Abdominal Fat

April 24th, 2008 by shellylisee

By James Penn In any situation requiring the alteration of diet for weight loss, there are some factors to be wary of. In the case of developing a six pack, this is no exception. 1) Be sure you are eating a sufficient amount of nutritious food; do not starve yourself in order to lose weight quickly. Our bodies require the vitamins, minerals and energy from food for basic function. If we are not providing our bodies with this, our bodies will be unable to function efficiently.Starving yourself will only result in a decreased metabolism and the loss of lean body mass as opposed to adipose (fat) tissues. 2) If you are aiming to increase your fiber intake, be sure to adjust your water intake appropriately. This will avoid any complications that may occur due to excessive fiber intake. 3) Avoid buying snacks that are high in sugar or fat. For most people, snacking can occur subconsciously and they do not notice they are doing it. Avoid this situation by not having the snacks on hand. Other ways to prevent habitual snacking may also be to write down what you eat each day, in order to identify and eliminate any unnecessary snacking on unhealthy foods. 4) Many people opt to take supplements in order to increase their muscle mass or help them lose weight. Whilst supplements can be useful, it is important to remember that they are still just supplements and cannot be relied upon as a sole means for losing weight. All supplements still require the individual to adopt a healthy diet and to exercise. Thus they cost quite a bit of money, however do not accomplish anything significant. If supplements appeal to you, why not look at purchasing a simple multivitamin or mineral pill, as this will fill all requirements and will not cost as much as a supplement. A multivitamin will also help ensure you are not missing out on any vitamins or minerals as a result of decreasing the calorie intake of your diet. If you feel you may need a multivitamin or supplement, it is best to consult either a dietitian or a doctor before making a decision. Discussing your options with a professional will ensure you make the right decision as to whether you do indeed require supplements or multivitamins and will prevent you from putting yourself into a dangerous situation (such as overdosing on particular vitamins or minerals by unnecessarily taking extra supplements). In most cases you should be able to obtain all required vitamins and minerals through diet alone. 5) Sugar can come in many disguises. Be sure to read food labels before consuming products. This will help you determine the overall sugar content of the food and will also aid in determining the amount of fat present. This will allow you to make an informed decision about the foods you eat. 6) You may have heard people mentioning a low carbohydrate diet in order to lose fat. Low carbohydrate diets are not appropriate. Our diets are meant to based predominantly on breads and cereals and thus carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the main source of energy in the diet and thus, limiting carbohydrate intake will only serve to limit a quality source of energy which will leave an individual feeling fatigued and with little energy to perform daily activities. In the event that sufficient carbohydrates are not available for use as energy, the body will begin using protein for energy, instead of using it to build and strengthen muscle. As a result, muscle strengthening will not occur and thus, the six pack will not be able to become toned and visible. Three Key Questions To What’s Really Going On Inside Your Head (Weight Loss)

April 22nd, 2008 by shellylisee

By Matt Mc Dermott Chances are that you read, see, and hear these types of headlines all the time: “Get Ripped Abs Fast!”"Increase Your Bench In 3 Weeks!”"Lose 50 Pounds With XYZ Supplement!”"Be Chiseled For Summer!”"Get Buff By Buying This Program!”"Drop Those Last 10 Pounds!” They are not only in the bodybuilding and physique advertisements, but they appear on television, radio, the internet, billboards, and magazines of all types. In addition, you may hear comments from your friends & family saying, “If only I could lose those last stubborn 10 pounds,” or, “I hate being so skinny!” Most people, if you were to observe them from a third-person’s point of view, are probably exposed to comments of this type at least once per day if they live or interact in an urban or suburban environment. I have had the opportunity to study many of the “mind disciplines” such as NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), hypnosis, sports psychology, the basics of quantum physics (ok… the VERY basics!), and a few other areas of similar study. The thing is that most of these disciplines have commonalities, or “overlap”, between them. Personally, I find this to be terrific!! If the latest studies of the human mind - with the most intricate machines & research studies - happen to share commonalities with examples we see in everyday life then we can begin to take heart knowing that there might be something to those commonalities. It would be as if you & your friends all had a different type of compass, yet each one pointed to “North” in the same direction; you then can make an agreement for what all of you consider to be “North.” One “commonality” among all of these disciplines is that there is usually a much deeper motivation that is going on in your head when you set goals or make other declarations about your identity, particularly about your own body. The types of headlines listed earlier may sell you features, benefits, or both; however they usually fail to trigger what is REALLY going on inside your head! Here is an example: If you say, “I want to drop those last 10 pounds before the upcoming X (family reunion, high school reunion, company pool party, etc.)” you now can ask yourself three quick questions to find out your TRUE motivation: 1) When I think about XYZ (dropping those last 10 pounds, increasing my bench press by 20 pounds, etc.), what is important to me? 2) How is the answer from # 1 important to me? 3) What will the answer for # 2 do for me? Here is an example: 1) When I think about dropping those last 10 pounds before the upcoming company pool party, what is important to me?Example answer: “I want to look good.” 2) How is looking good (answer from # 1) important to me? Example answer: “So I won’t look gross to people.” ** SIDE NOTE** A lot of people are motivated by what they “don’t want to be…” or “don’t want to have…” This is a different type of motivation than what you DO want or what you WANT TO ACHIEVE. This is will be a topic for a different newsletter. 3) What will not looking gross to people (answer from # 2) do for me?Example answer: “I finally get to feel attractive around people I know.” So the “core emotion”, in this example, is for you to feel attractive around people you know. Once you have that core emotion (also known as a “deep-seated need”) identified, ask yourself the best ways you can meet this need. It could be: I am going to update my wardrobeI am going to get my teeth fixedI will get a good book on exercise from a reputable sourceI will be around more uplifting and positive peopleI will go on that interview to get a new job, earn more money, and start to feel “alive again”Etc.No matter what your specific situation is, make sure that you ask yourself those three questions and get to the heart of what is really going on quickly. It will save you TONS of time, money, and energy! Many people find that their “sticking points” or “plateaus” come from never addressing what is REALLY going on inside their own heads…. and all they need to do is ask three simple questions! Reiki - the Natural Way to Better Health

April 20th, 2008 by shellylisee

By Michael Kheyfets Reiki is a Japanese form of healing that is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. The knowledge that an unseen energy flows through all living things and is connected directly to the quality of health has been part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times. The existence of this “life force energy” has been verified by recent scientific experiments, and medical doctors are considering the role it plays in the functioning of the immune system and the healing process. Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy, that is in and around everything. Reiki affects all levels of body, mind, and spirit. Reiki accelerates the body’s natural ability to heal and opens the mind and spirit to the causeof disease, disharmony, and pain. What makes Reiki unique is that it incorporates elements of just about every other alternative healing practices such as spiritual healing, auras, crystals, chakra balancing, meditation, aromatherapy, naturopathy, and homeopathy. Reiki involves the transfer of energy from practitioner to patient to enhance the body’s natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of energy. Reiki utilizes specific techniques for restoring and balancing the natural life force energy within the body. It is a holistic, natural, hands-on energy healing system that touches on all levels: body, mind, and spirit. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well-being. In its long history of use Reiki has aided in healing virtually everyknown illness and injury. Reiki is always beneficial and works to improve the effectiveness ofall other types of therapy. I Hate My Name

April 19th, 2008 by shellylisee

By C Thomas Wright The other day someone e-mails me and asked if there was an alternate meaning to their name. They said they didn’t like what their meant and wanted to know if I could change it to something different. For most names found in the English speaking world, the origin and therefore the meaning of the name go back many centuries and at times are derived from languages that are not even spoken any longer –”dead languages” such as Aramaic , Old German (lower and upper), and Latin amongst others. One example is the name William which means “will helmet”. At first glance this definition it seems to make no sense. However, the word will use in a context meaning to desire or to want and helmet as a form of covering for the head while in battle the meaning of the name starts to take shape. Although the meaning of the name William does not have any present day significance, it is in fact the meaning of the name. Of greater significance, is who in history bore this name and who we think of when we hear the name William. Many Kings of England have had this name as well as other famous people including William Shakespeare and William (Bill) Clinton amongst many others. It could be said that the modern day interpretation of the name William could mean leader, writer, actor, or many other thoughts that come to mind when we hear the name. Although the meaning of a name can indeed be important when choosing the proper name for a baby being born in the twenty first century, there are many other factors that are involved as well and we should put so much weight into just a meeting of the name but rather what the modern day interpretation of that name may be. For those would-be parents there are a set of rules that are good to follow when naming a baby, but the choice ultimately lands in the hands of you consider it the first gift you give to your baby. Rhyming conventions, fad/fashion names, alternate or quirky spellings (Wylliam) are all things to be considered as well as what will the name of the baby be when he/she grows up. There, of course, are ways around that as well. For those who want to name a baby after a great aunt or after the father but dont want the baby to have an old name, a nickname can be used as well as using the middle name as the name used in casual conversation the family name. The 42nd president of the United States regularly went by Bill (Clinton) instead of his given William (Jefferson Clinton). Ahh, you say with a quirky smile I know another! Tony Blair (Prime Minister of the United Kingdom). Sorry his given name was indeed Tony (Charles Lynton Blair). So now you are grown and you do not like your name you HATE it. What to do, what to do. There are remedies to the situation. The easiest start going by another name. My name went from Tommy to Thom to Tom to Charles to Tom again, and those are all diminutives of my middle name Thomas. To avoid confusion my official/unofficial name (official to everyone but the government) is C. Thomas Wright III. I never get a phone call asking for Mr. C (this isnt Happy Days folks). And if I do indeed get mail/phone call with Charles Wright on it, I know I am in trouble. The second thing you can do is to legally change your name. There are three legitimate reasons for this.1. Getting Married 2. Getting Divorced 3. Because you WANT to! You will need to do the following to legally change your name (when getting married this is usually automatically done). 1. Petition the court to change your name 2. Give public notice of the name change (a newspaper ad saying you were and now you are is fine) 3. Affidavit if required (by parent/guardian/spouse/etc) 4. Granted court ordered name change Make sure when filling out any forms as with any official forms to make sure your handwriting is legible and there are no spelling errors. If you have horrible handwriting you can have someone else fill out the forms but make sure YOU SIGN THEM. Make photocopies of any/all forms and legal papers pertaining to your name change. It is sometimes advisable to have an attorney go through the steps with you to make sure everything is done properly. If a lawyer is too much money, a paralegal or someone going through law school can also help you in the matter. After your name change is complete make sure you notify the proper people (start with Credit Card companies, DMV [Department of Motor Vehicles, sometimes the MVA (Motor Vehicle Administration)], and the SSA [Social Security Administration]). After that, copies should be sent to the Bureau of Vital Statistics (the census people) and have your Birth certificate amended. For most of us who HATE OUR NAMES, we can either live with it; use a pseudo-name, stage-name, nickname, or some other name. When given the enormous task and responsibility of naming someone else, remember what you went through and what your child might endure if indeed their name is out of this world (Frank Zappas kids names: Moon Unit, Dweezel, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan, and Diva Muffin). And yes, it is possible to change your last name or drop it entirely. Teller (from the magical duo Penn & Teller) has no last name, he legally changed his name to Teller in the 1980s. C. Thomas Wright III is the owner of Zelo.com — one of the oldest names web sites on the internet. For over 10 years he has been helping people with the curiosities of what names mean, where they come from, and what to name a baby. http://www.zelo.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=C_Thomas_Wright http://EzineArticles.com/?I-Hate-My-Name&id=509797 online prescriptions for phentermine phentermine no prior prescription phentermine 37.5 without prescription get a prescription for phentermine

Benefits Of Alfalfa Plant Juice

April 16th, 2008 by shellylisee

By Kevin Pederson Alfalfa plant or Alfalfa sprout juice Alfalfa plant, which is also known as lucerne or bum clover, is usually known to fatten cattle, and the juice has long been employed to put weight on people. Combined with carrot and lettuce, alfalfa juice is reputed to aid the growth of hair. Like comfrey the alfalfa plant has exceptionally long roots, sometimes over 120 ft (37m). These enable the plant to be an efficient concentrator of trace elements. Alfalfa plant is a very concentrated source of vitamin A, which is not lost when the plant is dried and sold in tablet form, and of vitamin C. Not all of us live near a source of alfalfa, but it is as easy to sprout, to mustard and cress, and the resulting sprouts are not only of a high nutritional order but are also exceptional providers of a wide spectrum I minerals. The high vitamin K content is important as a blood clotting factor and has been found in animal studies to control high blood-pressure, although the importance of this to man is not yet established. Alfalfa juice is normally taken in combination with carrot because it is very strong alone and the two complement each other well. It must be said that it is not very tasty on its own so its use as pan of a juice combination is the more acceptable way of using alfalfa as pan of a healthy diet. Kevin Pederson has been managing a number of natural home remedies websites which have information on home based natural cures and remedies for some of the most common illnesses and some tips on raw juice therapy. It’s 12 Midnight, and Do You Know What Your Spouse Is Doing Online?

April 14th, 2008 by shellylisee

By John Young Elizabeth woke with a start and checked the clock. It was ten minutes to midnight, and Bob was gone again. Her stomach clenching, she sat up. The covers were thrown back where Bob slept, and the empty space next to her seemed to signify the emptiness that had entered their once happy marriage. She threw her legs over the side of the bed. She knew where he was. This time, she approached his study as stealthily as she could. The door was ajar, and she could see him hunched in front of the monitor, typing furiously. She tried to be silent, but when she pushed the door farther open, a hinge squeaked. Bob turned with a start, his eyes widening, his face suddenly slack. Quickly he turned back to the computer and pushed the power button. The computer wheezed in agony as it was prematurely shut down. Elizabeth stared at him for a moment, long enough to make sure he knew he wasnt fooling her, and then turned away without saying anything. Bob’s online affair was so obvious, but he wouldn’t admit it. In fact, he wouldn’t talk about anything — significant — at all… The clues in Real Time Once upon a time the clues that warned of an affair were clearly defined and easy to spot. If your mate suddenly changed his behavior in some significant way — if he began to smell differently, spent excessive amounts of time somewhere else (or lied about where he was spending it), had the classic lipstick on his collar that wasnt yours, carried condoms in spite of the fact your tubes were tied, or your friends were acting strangely around you, and so on, you could be pretty sure there was something going on. And that something was probably an affair in Real Time our time — the time we used to live in. These obvious symptoms of a relationship in Real Time have been discussed at length elsewhere, and will generally appear if your significant other is actually “seeing” somebody else. But if the relationship is going on in the secret world of Cyberspace, he will probably not be seeing that person, only talking to them. And that can be far more dangerous. The dark world of cyberspace In the ambiguous, secret world of cyberspace, an affair can blossom before the parties realize it. Conversations with somebody of the opposite sex can start out innocently but grow deeper and more intimate as time progresses, leading to a relationship that can be more involved than “real time” relationships, where communication is often hindered by time and circumstance. The online affair can begin in forums or chat rooms, and can lead to a transference of the heart that is far more complete than something that begins around the water cooler at Work. Many times the spouse or significant other find themselves involved in something they really don’t want. They secretly wish they could be “found out” so they can stop…before the relationship passes a point of no return. Clues are not facts There are several clues to an online affair that are as distinctive a Real Time one, and Elizabeth has just discovered two of them: your mate spends a lot of clandestine time on the computer late at night, and suddenly shuts it down when you approach (or quickly “exits” out of what he is doing). Other warning signs may include setting up several email accounts, being defensive when confronted, putting a password on a profile, clearing history lists, etc. But they also might be clues to something else, such as visiting pornographic sites he doesn’t want you to see. (And that’s another issue). So the clues are not proof. You can’t really use them in a confrontation. You have to know exactly what is happening on your mate’s PC, and you have to use that knowledge when you confront him. How do you get it? The secret software spy You probably are already aware that there are easy-to-use, inexpensive PC spyware programs on the market today that can unobtrusively: 1) Give a report of all keystrokes, including online conversations and passwords. 2) A list of websites visited. 3) A snapshot of chats and instant messenger conversations. 4) Monitor and record emails. 5) Run in the background and can be purchased anonymously. And above all, the spyware enables you to view all of your mate’s activity on your own PC or will send the information to you at your email address. The technology is there, but the real question is: Do you want to use it? Is snooping wrong? Many people don’t feel right about using spyware on another’s PC. They feel they are “snooping”, and snooping is fundamentally wrong. But the real question is, can you live without knowing the truth? And secondarily, in knowing the truth, if it is used in the right way, could you in fact help the person you still love possibly by helping him “get out” of the situation he has fallen into and fundamentally doesn’t want? Or, if the affair really has gone too far, and your relationship with him is heading for divorce, can you afford to not have the information you will need to take to divorce court? You can’t afford NOT to know Is your mate having an affair, or is he just trying to hide an addiction to something like pornography or gambling? In order to find out, there is only one way — and that is to snoop. There are no excuses for NOT doing it because: 1) PC Spyware is so easy to install and use that your child could do it. 2) Youll be able to buy it anonymously and install it secretly so that your mate cant detect it 3) You can unobtrusively monitor your mate’s PC without him ever knowing it. The question really is: will you do it? Is your mate having an affair, or is he just trying to hide an addiction to something like pornography or online gambling? There is only one way to know, and that is to use PC surveillance spyware to get the truth. You can’t live forever in a limbo of suspicion and distrust. You know you must take action — and spyware is the best, and in fact, the only way to do it. To find out, there is only one way — and that is to snoop, but in snooping, you have to be willing to face — and prepare yourself for — the facts. But in facing the facts you will gain something you don’t have now… The ultimate peace of mind that comes in knowing the truth. 5 Key Components Of A Small Business Acquisition Loan

April 11th, 2008 by shellylisee

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Brent_Finlay]Brent Finlay Qualifying for a small business acquisition loan can be quite an ordeal to say the least. If the business being sold is very profitable, the selling price will likely reflect a significant amount of goodwill which can be very difficult to finance. If the business being sold is not making money, lenders can be difficult to find even if the underlying assets being acquired are worth substantially more than the purchase price. Business acquisition loans, or change of control financing situations, can be extremely varied from case to case. That being said, here are the major challenges you’ll typically have to overcome to secure a small business acquisition loan. >>> Financing Goodwill The definition of goodwill is the sale price minus the resale or liquidation value of business assets after any debts owing on the assets are paid off. It represents the future profit the business is expected to generate beyond the current value of the assets. Most lenders have no interest in financing goodwill. This effectively increases the amount of the down payment required to complete the sale and/or the acquisition of some financing from the vendor in the form of a vendor loan. Vendor support and Vendor loans are a very common elements in the sale of a small business. If they are not initially present in the conditions of sale, you may want to ask the vendor if they would consider providing support and financing. There are some excellent reasons why asking the question could be well worth your time. In order to receive the maximum possible sale price, which likely involves some amount of goodwill, the vendor will agree to finance part of the sale by allowing the buyer to pay a portion of the sale price over a defined period of time within a structured payment schedule. The vendor may also offer transition assistance for a period of time to make sure the transition period is seamless. The combination of support and financing by the vendor creates a positive vested interest whereby it is in the vendor’s best interest to help the buyer successfully transition all aspects of ownership and operations. Failure to do so could result in the vendor not getting all the proceeds of sale in the future in the event the business were to suffer or fail under new ownership. This is usually a very appealing aspect to potential lenders as the risk of loss due to transition is greatly reduced. This speaks directly to the next financing challenge. >>> Business Transition Risk Will the new owner be able to run the business as well as the previous owner? Will the customers still do business with the new owner? Did the previous owner possess a specific skill set that will be difficult to replicate or replace? Will the key employees remain with the company after the sale? A lender must be confident that the business can successfully continue at no worse than the current level of performance. There usually needs to be a buffer built into the financial projections for changeover lags that can occur. At the same time, many buyers will purchase a business because they believe there is substantial growth available which they think they can take advantage of. The key is convincing the lender of the growth potential and your ability to achieve superior results. >>> Asset Sale Versus Share Sale For tax purposes, many sellers want to sell the shares of their business. However, by doing so, any outstanding and potential future liability related to the going concern business will fall at the feet of the buyer unless othewise indicated in the purchase and sale agreement. Because potential business liability is a difficult thing to evaluate, there can be a higher perceived risk when considering a small business acquisition loan application related to a share purchase. >>> Market Risk Is the business in a growing, mature, or declining market segment? How does the business fit into the competitive dynamics of the market and will a change in control strengthen or weaken its competitive position? A lender needs to be confident that the business can be successful for at least the period the business acquisition loan will be outstanding. This is important for two reasons. First, a sustained cash flow will obviously allow a smoother process of repayment. Second, a strong going concern business has a higher probability of resale. If an unforeseen event causes the owner to no longer be able to carry on the business, the lender will have confidence that the business can still generate enough profit from resale to retire the outstanding debt. Localized markets are much easier for a lender or investor to assess than a business selling to a broader geographic reach. Area based lenders may also have some working knowledge of the particular business and how prominent it is in the local market. >>> Personal Net Worth Most business acquisition loans require the buyer to be able to invest at least a third of the total purchase price in cash with a remaining tangible net worth at least equal to the remaining value of the loan. Statistics show that over leveraged companies are more prone to suffer financial duress and default on their business acquisition loan commitments. The larger the amount of the business acquisition loan required, the more likely the probability of default. Brent Finlay makes it easy to understanding business financing. April 10th, 2008 by shellylisee

By Matt Morrison With temperatures rising and rain fall decreasing, summer time is putting a serious strain on your lawn. If you are not careful, your lawn could end up dead. No rain and water restrictions can really take a shot at your ability to take care of your lawn. However, there are some tried and true tips that are sure to beat the summer heat. When your lawn is suffering from a drought, these tips will help you survive: 1. Raise the blades on your mower. Taller grass provides more protection from sun and grows deeper roots, which makes it more resilient. 2. Resist the temptation to bag your lawn and use a mulching mower instead. The clippings will provide a barrier that keeps moisture in your lawn longer. 3. Aerate your lawn twice a year (fall and spring) to keep out thatch and help the roots grow deeper. 4. Sharpen your lawnmower blade. Dull blades put your grass under lots of undue stress. Stressed grass needs more water. 5. Water early in the morning and when it is not windy to avoid unnecessary evaporation of your rationed water. 6. Use a drip type irrigation system like a soaker hose. It put water in the ground, where it is needed, more efficiently. 7. Do not fertilize in the summer. Experts will tell you that fertilized lawns are more sensitive to heat and require more water. Green is definitely a color to envy in the heart of the summer. Do yourself a favor and follow these tips to keep a green lawn that makes your neighbors squirm with envy.
